Profile

I launched Inclined Designs in 2008 first as Hey Baby! Boutique, with a focus on items for infants like appliqués tees and tutus. I worked diligently at expanding the scope of the business, first with additional children’s clothing, silicone teething necklaces, and even items for new and expectant moms. After building out the brand to include adult clothing and Pittsburgh-themed products, I rebranded in 2017 to embrace my hometown pride, deciding on the name Inclined Designs with a logo involving the city’s signature red funicular.

Inclined Designs has blossomed into a business that not only celebrates women’s creativity but focuses on community involvement and engagement. New designs are often discussed on social media before being produced to allow for real-time customer feedback. I also encourage fundraising efforts by working with local sports teams, school bands, and other organizations to design custom products from tees to totes for their causes.

Inclined Designs’ current product line is a colorful array of everyday items and clothing. My favorite is Burgh Bits, a fabric design I commissioned in 2015 illustrated with homages to Pittsburgh: parking chairs, pierogi, bridges, keystones, and ketchup bottles. Items in the line include kids’ clothing, magnets, keychains, and more, allowing my customers the ability to show their hometown pride in a variety of ways.

When I’m not wrangling my daughter, working at my day job in the steel industry, or dreaming up new designs, I devote time to helping new small business owners establish their business and branding. I also work as a part-time event coordinator for several local markets and love mentoring the next generation of business owners, paying forward my decade-plus of industry knowledge to help everyone thrive.
